Joe “The Enforcer” Mason – Official Bio

Joe “The Enforcer” Mason’s journey in the entertainment industry began as a childhood dream in the heart of a large family of eight in Chicago, Illinois. Inspired by his father, Herman Mason, a respected entertainment promoter and close friend of blues legend B.B. King. Joe grew up surrounded by music, creativity, and the desire to make a mark. “He wanted the best for his kids,” Joe recalls. “I remember writing my first song, and before I knew it, I was in a band with my brothers. I guess he wanted us to be like the Jacksons.” That early push planted the seeds of a future that would flourish beyond imagination.

Though life on Chicago’s West Side had its share of challenges, the city’s grit became fuel for Joe’s ambitions. At 17, he left for Phoenix, Arizona, where he enrolled at Phoenix College as a Marketing major. But it wasn’t until a chance elevator ride in Los Angeles, California with none other than Fuller Gordy, elder brother of Berry Gordy and a Motown executive that destiny truly opened the door.

That serendipitous meeting led to a remarkable career that saw Joe working alongside music royalty like Billy Preston, Syreeta Wright, and DeBarge. His philosophy is simple but powerful: “My goal in life is to find the best talent in the world.”

Joe’s unbreakable spirit and relentless work ethic earning him the nickname “The Enforcer” took him to the helm as Promotional Director for WCE Records/Sony. There, he championed powerhouse talents such as Malina Moye, named one of Guitar World Magazine’s Top 10 guitarists in the world. Joe is the Vice President of BSE Recordings. Ken Wilson a renowned music executive of J Records and BMG is Joe’s long-time mentor.

As the founder of Never Stop Entertainment, Joe Mason continues to discover and promote rising stars, while working with seasoned legends including Eddie Levert and Eric Nolan of The Legendary O’Jays, Omar Wilson, Arika Kane, Mr. Lenny Williams, Kenny Lattimore, Shirley Murdock, Babyface, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Tamika Scott, Maxwell, and many more. The Enforcer not only promotes legends. Award winning gospel artist Marvin Dexter Moore has been added to the list of talents. His eye for talent, combined with decades of experience, makes Joe an indispensable force behind many of today’s most compelling voices.

Now adding to his résumé, Joe “The Enforcer” Mason has taken on a new role as Music Consultant for Paragon Films, bringing his expertise into the world of cinematic soundtracks and music supervision.

With a career built on faith, hustle, and a “never stop” mentality, Joe Mason is proof that dreams, when pursued with passion and perseverance, can

build a legacy.
