Teflon, often referred to as the unofficial third member of the world-famous M.O.P., has been a key figure in the New York rap scene since the ’90s. His impact can be traced through his appearances on nearly all of M.O.P.’s albums. Teflon gained major recognition with features on the 2001 “Ante Up” remix produced by D/R Period, alongside Busta Rhymes and Remy Ma, as well as “4 Alarm Blaze” featuring Jay-Z. Despite being one of the most underrated artists, his skills and collaborations have left a lasting impression on hip-hop.

Teflon’s debut album, My Will (1997), remains a fan favorite, and his commanding stage presence caught the attention of DJ Premier, who attempted to produce a follow-up project in 2001. Unfortunately, due to industry shifts, the album was shelved. After a long break, Teflon returned in 2023 with his sophomore release 2 Sides to Every Story, produced by DJ Premier and rising star JAZIMOTO, featuring M.O.P. and Benny the Butcher. The project highlights Teflon’s expanded range and lyrical prowess.

Teflon’s chemistry with JAZIMOTO led to the formation of 420MUSIC.
