Shaquan who was born and raised in Brooklyn NY began his musical career as an 11yr old DJ who loved hip hop music and followed the likes of GrandMaster Caz, GrandMaster Flash and DJ Grand Wizard Theodore just to name a few.

At 15yrs old he realized his greatest talent was writing as an MC and studied his idols The Cold Crush Brothers, Cowboy and Melle Mel of The Furious Five Mc’s, Spoonie G and the Crash Crew Mc’s. 

He followed that path which lead him into some of the greatest talents in hip hop rap ciphers with the legendary Just-Ice, The teacher himself Krs-one and the multitalented Biz Markie (rip).

Shaquan followed that passion for being a great MC by entering showcase’s which a few a few of these competitions were entered by the great Mos Def and One of hip hop’s power rappers Eminem in one of manhattan’s Alphabet City night clubs.

Though neither of them were the winners of the event at that time,

Nevertheless Shaquan’s passion for the art of hip hop never dwindled.

He later discovered another hidden talent as a producer by studying the genius of Pete Rock, DJ Premier, Just Blaze and the legendary D/R Period .

Now as ceo and president of Hugh Hustler Music and building a state of the art in studio in sound quality and recording, 

Shaquan now writes, produce and even lay his own cuts and scratches on what has the potential to be some of the most innovative hip hop and R&B songs of ALL generations.

With his non vulgar, non degrading clean lyrics, Shaquan hope to encourage a conscious and awakening drive in all who listens to his music.
